Description

A rich and flavorful pasta dish made with tender chicken, creamy garlic parmesan sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. A comforting and satisfying meal that’s perfect for dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  7. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and toss until well combined and coated with the sauce.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Great with a side of garlic bread or steamed vegetables.
