Description

This Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta is the perfect easy dinner for busy nights. Juicy shrimp are tossed in a rich, spicy Cajun cream sauce and served over tender pasta. It’s loaded with flavor, comes together in under 30 minutes, and tastes like something you’d get at a restaurant!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)

  • 2 cups baby spinach (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in remaining Cajun seasoning. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.

  • Stir in cherry tomatoes and spinach (if using), and cook until wilted.

  • Return shrimp and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste depending on your spice preference.

  • You can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.

  • Add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies.
