Description

This Copycat Longhorn Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a deliciously tender grilled chicken breast topped with a creamy ranch spread, melted provolone, and a crispy Parmesan crust for a restaurant-style meal at home.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Brush over both sides of chicken breasts.
  3. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, combine ranch dressing and sour cream. Spread mixture evenly over each grilled chicken breast.
  5. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each chicken breast.
  6. In another bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Top each chicken breast with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture.
  8. Place under broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the crust is golden and bubbly. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can marinate the chicken in the oil and seasoning mix for a few hours for extra flavor.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results.
  • Broil carefully to avoid burning the crust.
