Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until edges are golden and the center is set but still soft.
- Cool completely in the pan before removing.
- Decorate with frosting and sprinkles as desired.
