Description

A fresh and simple classic house salad featuring crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and a tangy vinaigrette dressing.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup croutons
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, shredded carrots, and croutons.
  2. If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  5. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
