A traditional holiday side dish made with green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crispy fried onions for a comforting and nostalgic flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked green beans (or 2 cans, drained)
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add green beans and 2/3 cup of French fried onions. Mix well to coat.
  4. Pour mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
  6. Remove from oven, stir the mixture, and top with remaining French fried onions.
  7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.

  • Add sautéed mushrooms for extra mushroom flavor.
  • Can be made a day ahead and reheated before serving.
