Description

Classic Deviled Eggs are a simple, crowd-pleasing appetizer made with hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasonings. Perfect for parties, picnics, or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Drain and transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool. Peel the eggs once cooled.
  4. Slice eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks.
  5. Place yolks in a bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika for garnish and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use older eggs for easier peeling after boiling.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce or pickle relish for extra flavor.
  • Chill the deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving for best taste.
