- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 can (8 oz) pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and whipped topping until well blended.
- Gently fold in the mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, shredded coconut, mini marshmallows, maraschino cherries, and nuts if using.
- Mix until all ingredients are evenly coated with the creamy mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor and texture.
- Stir before serving and garnish with additional cherries or coconut if desired.
Notes
- Ambrosia salad can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
