Description

Cinnamon French Toast Sticks are a delicious and easy breakfast treat, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, coated in a sweet cinnamon-sugar mix.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut bread (like Texas toast or brioche)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of bread into 3-4 sticks.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, allowing the excess to drip off.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the sticks for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Immediately toss the cooked sticks in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Serve warm with maple syrup.

Notes

  • Use day-old bread for best texture.
  • You can freeze the sticks after cooking and reheat in the oven.
  • Adjust cinnamon-sugar ratio to your taste preference.
