Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggnog until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar and eggnog until smooth and pourable.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled bread and let set before slicing.

- Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for crunch.
- Sprinkle glaze with cinnamon or nutmeg for extra spice.
