Ingredients

  • 23 tbsp eggnog (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Stir in sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggnog until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar and eggnog until smooth and pourable.
  11. Drizzle glaze over cooled bread and let set before slicing.
