- 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and dried
- 8 ounces semisweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut, white chocolate drizzle
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using).
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the strawberry.
- Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place the dipped strawberry on the prepared baking sheet.
- If using toppings, sprinkle them on while the chocolate is still wet.
- Optional: Drizzle with melted white chocolate for decoration.
- Let the strawberries sit at room temperature or refrigerate for 15–30 minutes until the chocolate is set.
