Description

Decadent chocolate brownies topped with juicy strawberries and a rich chocolate ganache for a luxurious dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Mix in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  6. Arrange halved strawberries cut side down over the cooled brownie base.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until just boiling, then pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  8. Pour the ganache over the strawberries, spreading gently to cover.
  9. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until the ganache is set.
  10. Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.

  • Use fresh, firm strawberries for best results.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For an extra touch, drizzle with white chocolate before serving.
