Description

Fluffy, golden pancakes filled with melty chocolate chips. A sweet twist on a classic breakfast favorite, perfect for kids and adults alike — best served warm with butter and maple syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • Butter or oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  7. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook another 1-2 minutes until golden brown on the other side.
  8. Repeat with remaining batter, adding more butter or oil as needed.
  9. Serve warm with extra chocolate chips, butter, and maple syrup.
