Description

Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet is a one-pan dinner that combines juicy chicken, marinara sauce, pasta, and melted cheese for a comforting and easy-to-make twist on the classic Italian favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz uncooked penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add marinara sauce, chicken broth, and pasta. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  5. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and stir in Parmesan cheese.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, cover for 2–3 minutes, or broil for a few minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
