Instructions
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cheese, onion, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Warm tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the flautas in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Drain on paper towels and remove toothpicks if used.
- Serve hot with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or toppings of choice.
