Description

These Chicken & Rice Bowls with Creamy Garlic Sauce are a delicious and satisfying meal that is easy to make. Tender chicken cooked to perfection, served over fluffy rice, and topped with a creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Rice:

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. Cook the Rice: In a saucepan, bring chicken broth and butter to a boil. Add rice, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is cooked.
  3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet used for chicken, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Slice cooked chicken. Serve over rice and drizzle with creamy garlic sauce.

Notes

  • You can add steamed vegetables or a side salad to make this meal even more nutritious.
  • Feel free to customize the sauce with herbs like parsley or basil for added flavor.
