Description

A quick, healthy stir-fry featuring tender chicken and crisp-tender broccoli in a savory garlic soy sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into thin, bite-sized slices and place them in a bowl with cornstarch and a splash of soy sauce. Mix well and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Steam or blanch broccoli florets until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and optional ginger to the pan and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the remaining soy sauce, chicken broth, sugar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the cooked broccoli back into the skillet and toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  7. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

  • Use beef or tofu instead of chicken for different protein options.
  • Add bell peppers, mushrooms, or snap peas for more veggie variety.
  • Spice it up with red pepper flakes or chili oil.
  • Swap soy sauce for tamari to make it gluten-free.
