5 1/2 cups cold water

Ice, for serving
-
Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

In a large pitcher, whisk together the lemon juice and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
-
Add the cold water and stir to combine.
-
Taste and adjust sweetness, if needed.
-
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
-
Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices if desired.
Notes
-
For the most authentic flavor, use fresh-squeezed lemons—no bottled juice!
-
You can make a diet version by replacing the sugar with a sugar substitute like Splenda or stevia.
-
Best enjoyed within 2–3 days for optimal freshness.
