Instructions
- Melt the butter and mix with graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Press the mixture into a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust. Chill in the fridge to set.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- If using heavy cream, whip it to stiff peaks in a separate bowl.
- Gently fold the whipped cream or topping into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy.
- Spread the cream mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
- Top with cherry pie filling, spreading it evenly over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set properly.
