Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, egg, and 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  3. Form Meatballs: Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
  5. Prepare Sauce: Warm marinara sauce in a skillet.
  6. Coat Meatballs: Transfer baked meatballs to the skillet with sauce, toss to coat, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
  7. Finish Cooking: Cover and cook for 2–3 minutes or broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
