Description

Cheeseburger Quesadillas blend the savory flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the crispiness of a quesadilla. Perfect for quick dinners or game-day snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • Mayonnaise, for serving
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Tomatoes, sliced (optional)
  • Shredded lettuce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Lay a tortilla flat and sprinkle half with shredded cheese.
  5. Spoon a layer of the beef mixture on top of the cheese. Add optional toppings like pickles or tomatoes.
  6. Sprinkle more cheese over the meat, then fold the tortilla in half.
  7. Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute before slicing into wedges.
  9. Serve with mayo or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter version.
  • Add crumbled bacon for extra flavor.
  • Swap cheddar with pepper jack or American cheese for variety.
  • Top with avocado slices or jalapeños for richness or heat.
  • Make mini quesadillas using street taco tortillas for appetizers.
