- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tbsp melted butter (optional, for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onions until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a 3-4 inch round.
- Place a spoonful of beef mixture in the center of each round, then top with shredded cheese.
- Fold dough around the filling and pinch to seal, forming a ball. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with ketchup or dipping sauce of choice.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter version.
- Add pickles or bacon bits inside for extra flavor.
- Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
