Cheese-Stuffed Potato Balls are crispy on the outside with a soft, cheesy center. These bite-sized snacks are made from mashed potatoes filled with gooey cheese, perfect for parties or as a delicious appetizer.

- 3 cups mashed potatoes (cooled)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (cut into small cubes)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the potato mixture and flatten it in your hand.
- Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the potato mixture around it to form a ball. Repeat with remaining mixture.
- Roll each ball in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the potato balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per batch.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes
- Chill the potato balls before frying for better shape retention.
- Use different cheeses like cheddar or pepper jack for variation.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes for a healthier option.
