Description

A simple and delicious cheese quesadilla made with melty cheese in a golden, crispy tortilla. Perfect for a quick snack or meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray
  • Optional: sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or spray with cooking spray.
  2. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle cheese evenly over it.
  3. Top with the second tortilla and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  4. Flip the quesadilla carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden.
  5. Remove from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then cut into wedges and serve with your favorite dips.

Notes

  • Use any melting cheese like Monterey Jack or mozzarella for variation.
  • Add veggies or cooked chicken for a more filling quesadilla.
  • Watch the heat to avoid burning the tortilla.
