- 2 flour tortillas (8-inch)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
- 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray
- Optional: sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for serving
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or spray with cooking spray.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle cheese evenly over it.
- Top with the second tortilla and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the quesadilla carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden.
- Remove from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then cut into wedges and serve with your favorite dips.
Notes
- Use any melting cheese like Monterey Jack or mozzarella for variation.
- Add veggies or cooked chicken for a more filling quesadilla.
- Watch the heat to avoid burning the tortilla.
