Description

Caramel Chocolate Chip Brownies are ultra-fudgy treats with layers of rich chocolate, melty caramel, and sweet chocolate chips, creating the perfect combination of chewy, gooey, and decadent.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until well blended.
  3. Let the mixture cool slightly, then mix in vanilla and eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the flour until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter, then top with the remaining brownie batter and gently spread it to cover the caramel.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Refrigerate before slicing for cleaner cuts.
  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a salted caramel twist.
