- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; beat until smooth and creamy.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter, then top with the remaining batter and drizzle the rest of the caramel on top. Swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before slicing and serving. Drizzle with additional caramel if desired.
Notes
- Use store-bought or homemade caramel sauce.
- Do not overbake to keep the brownies fudgy.
- Chill before cutting for cleaner slices.
