Description

These sweet, salty, and crispy Candied Bacon Crackers are the ultimate party snack or appetizer. Made with buttery crackers, brown sugar, and smoky bacon, they come together with just a few simple ingredients and bake up to caramelized perfection. Great for holidays, game days, or any time you’re craving a sweet-savory treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve buttery crackers (like Club or Ritz)

  • 10-12 slices bacon (cut into thirds)

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional, for a slight kick)

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

  • Lay the crackers out in a single layer on the rack.

  • Cut the bacon slices into thirds and place one piece of bacon on top of each cracker.

  • Sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar over each bacon-covered cracker.

  • (Optional) Lightly sprinkle black pepper or cayenne for a spiced version.

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked and the sugar has melted into a glaze.

  • Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. The crackers will crisp up as they cool.

Notes

  • Use a wire rack so the bacon crisps evenly and the sugar doesn’t pool.

  • You can make a spicy version by adding more cayenne or a touch of hot sauce.

  • These are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temp for up to 1 day.
