Description

The Blue Hawaiian is a tropical, fruity cocktail that’s perfect for summer sipping. Made with rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and coconut cream, it’s a bright blue drink that’s as delicious as it is eye-catching. Blend it with ice for a frozen treat or shake it up for a smooth and refreshing version.


Ingredients

  • 1 oz light rum

  • 1 oz blue curaçao

  • 2 oz pineapple juice

  • 1 oz cream of coconut (like Coco Lopez)

  • 1 cup ice (for blending or shaking)

 

  • Pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Blended version: Add rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and ice to a blender. Blend until smooth and slushy.

  2. Shaken version: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a hurricane or highball glass filled with ice.

  3. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.

  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!


Notes

  • You can swap light rum for coconut rum for an extra tropical twist.

  • Adjust the amount of coconut cream to taste—more for a creamier texture.

  • For a party, double or triple the recipe and serve in a large pitcher.
