- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup black sesame paste (tahini)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For Topping:
- 2 tablespoons toasted black sesame seeds
- Optional pinch of flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Melt the Butter: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Combine Sesame Paste: Add the black sesame paste to the melted butter, stirring until smooth.
- Add Marshmallows: Stir in the mini marshmallows until melted and well combined.
- Mix in Cereal: Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until coated.
- Transfer to Pan: Quickly press the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch pan.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle with toasted black sesame seeds and flaky sea salt if desired.
- Cool and Cut: Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra nuttiness, lightly toast the black sesame paste before adding the marshmallows.
- You can use white sesame paste as a substitute for black sesame paste.
