Description

A delicious homemade copycat of Taco Bell’s Grilled Cheese Burrito, packed with seasoned beef, rice, cheese, and chipotle sauce, wrapped in a tortilla and grilled to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup fiesta blend shredded cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
  4. Spread a layer of rice on each tortilla, followed by seasoned beef, nacho cheese, chipotle sauce, and sour cream.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese and fiesta blend cheese over the fillings.
  6. Roll the tortillas into burritos by folding the sides and rolling tightly.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
  8. Place each burrito seam side down in the skillet. Top with extra shredded cheese and press lightly.
  9. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and the cheese on top is melted and crispy.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • You can use any type of cheese blend you prefer.
  • Add jalapeños for an extra spicy kick.
  • Try using brown rice for a healthier option.
