Description

These French Toast Muffin Cups are a quick and easy twist on classic French toast, baked in a muffin tin for a portable and delicious breakfast option.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread, cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, fresh berries, extra maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add cubed bread to the egg mixture and stir to combine. Let sit for 5 minutes to absorb.
  4. Spoon the mixture evenly into the prepared muffin tin cups.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the top of each muffin cup.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
