- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 4 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: sliced cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Do not overmix.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties, about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
- Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Add cheese during the last minute if using.
- Toast buns lightly on the grill or skillet, if desired.
