- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Place a wire rack on top if available.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
- Toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack or baking sheet.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the wings with BBQ sauce and return to the oven.
- Optional: For a stickier glaze, broil the wings on high for 2-3 minutes after saucing.
- Remove from oven, brush with additional BBQ sauce or drizzle honey if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use your favorite BBQ sauce flavor — smoky, sweet, or spicy.
- Wings can be grilled instead of baked for extra charred flavor.
- For extra crispy wings, dry them thoroughly and bake on a wire rack.
