These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a spicy, creamy, and crispy appetizer or main dish perfect for grilling season. Juicy chicken chunks are grilled on skewers and drizzled with a tangy Bang Bang sauce for a flavorful kick.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, toss the chicken cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers.
- Grill the chicken skewers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- While the chicken is grilling, mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a bowl to make the Bang Bang sauce.
- Remove skewers from the grill and drizzle or brush with the Bang Bang sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your spice preference.
- These skewers can also be baked or cooked on a grill pan indoors.
