Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a spicy, creamy, and crispy appetizer or main dish perfect for grilling season. Juicy chicken chunks are grilled on skewers and drizzled with a tangy Bang Bang sauce for a flavorful kick.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, toss the chicken cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers.
  4. Grill the chicken skewers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. While the chicken is grilling, mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a bowl to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  6. Remove skewers from the grill and drizzle or brush with the Bang Bang sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your spice preference.
  • These skewers can also be baked or cooked on a grill pan indoors.
