- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Add chopped walnuts or pecans for crunch.
- Swap chocolate chips for white chocolate or peanut butter chips.
- Swirl peanut butter or Nutella into the batter before baking.
- Top with cream cheese frosting for extra richness.
