Description

Banana Chocolate Chip Bars are soft, moist treats that combine ripe bananas with melty chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for crunch.
  • Swap chocolate chips for white chocolate or peanut butter chips.
  • Swirl peanut butter or Nutella into the batter before baking.
  • Top with cream cheese frosting for extra richness.
