Description
These chewy dog treats are made with just a few wholesome ingredients, including banana and natural peanut butter. They’re soft, easy to digest, and perfect for pups who love a tasty snack without added preservatives or fillers. Great for training or as an occasional reward!
Ingredients
-
1 ripe banana, mashed
-
1/2 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
-
1 egg
-
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
-
1/4 cup rolled oats
-
2-3 tablespoons water (if needed for texture)
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mix the mashed banana, peanut butter, and egg until smooth.
-
Stir in the flour and oats. If the dough is too dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until it’s workable.
-
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
-
Cut into long stick shapes or use a knife to slice into rectangles.
-
Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly firm.
-
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
-
Always use xylitol-free peanut butter, as xylitol is toxic to dogs.
-
Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer shelf life.
-
Adjust size and thickness based on your dog’s size and chewing habits.
