Description

These chewy dog treats are made with just a few wholesome ingredients, including banana and natural peanut butter. They’re soft, easy to digest, and perfect for pups who love a tasty snack without added preservatives or fillers. Great for training or as an occasional reward!

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/4 cup rolled oats

  • 2-3 tablespoons water (if needed for texture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed banana, peanut butter, and egg until smooth.

  3. Stir in the flour and oats. If the dough is too dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until it’s workable.

  4. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.

  5. Cut into long stick shapes or use a knife to slice into rectangles.

  6. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly firm.

  8. Let cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

  • Always use xylitol-free peanut butter, as xylitol is toxic to dogs.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer shelf life.

  • Adjust size and thickness based on your dog’s size and chewing habits.
