Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
- Scrub sweet potatoes under running water and pat dry.
- Poke several holes in each sweet potato with a fork to allow steam to escape.
- Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt.
- Place sweet potatoes on the baking sheet and bake for 45–60 minutes until tender and easily pierced with a fork.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Slice open and top with butter, pepper, or sweet/savory toppings of choice.
