Description
This easy Baked Brie with Honey is the perfect appetizer for parties, holidays, or wine night. Creamy brie cheese is wrapped in flaky puff pastry, baked until golden, and drizzled with warm honey for a sweet and savory bite that’s ready in minutes.
Ingredients
-
1 wheel of brie cheese (about 8 oz)
-
1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
-
1 egg (for egg wash)
-
1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
-
2-3 tablespoons honey
-
Optional toppings: chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts), fresh thyme, dried cranberries
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Place the brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry.
-
Fold the pastry over the top of the brie, trimming off excess and pinching to seal. Flip it over so the seam is on the bottom.
-
In a small bowl, whisk the egg with water to make an egg wash. Brush the puff pastry with the egg wash.
-
Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
-
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
-
Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with optional toppings if using.
-
Serve warm with crackers, apple slices, or bread.
Notes
-
No puff pastry? You can bake brie without it—just place the cheese in a baking dish and bake for 10–12 minutes until soft.
-
Add a bit of fig jam or apricot preserves under the pastry for a fruity twist.
-
Best enjoyed warm right after baking.
