- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups baked beans (about 1 can, 15 oz)
- 1 cup tomato sauce or ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and garlic to skillet; sauté 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in baked beans, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- Transfer mixture into a 9×9‑inch (or similar) baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili powder or cumin.
- To make it gluten‑free, check that baked beans and Worcestershire sauce are GF certified.
- Leftovers refrigerate well for up to 4 days.
