- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup water
- Sesame seeds and additional chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, and green onions. Mix until well combined.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them in a lightly greased slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, red pepper flakes, and water.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until meatballs are cooked through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and additional green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brown the meatballs in a skillet before placing them in the crockpot.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
