Description

A moist and tender bundt cake infused with apple cider and warm spices, finished with a buttery cinnamon-sugar coating reminiscent of your favorite fall donut.


Ingredients

  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon-sugar mixture (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan generously with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the applesauce and apple cider until smooth.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, brush cake with melted butter and coat generously with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
