Description

Healthy and chewy homemade dog treats made with apples and carrots. These sticks are easy to make, full of fiber and vitamins, and perfect for rewarding your furry friend.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix grated carrots, applesauce, egg, olive oil, flour, and oats until a dough forms.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Cut into long stick shapes using a knife or pizza cutter.
  5. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and firm.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving to your dog.
