Description

A warm and comforting dessert made with sweetened fruit topped with a buttery oat crumble, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed fresh or frozen fruit (e.g., apples, berries, peaches)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the fruit, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Mix well and pour into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
