Description

Anna Paul’s Viral Turkish Pasta is a creamy, spicy, and flavorful dish inspired by Turkish flavors, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 300g pasta (any type)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200g Turkish red pepper paste (or tomato paste)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 150g Greek yogurt
  • 50ml pasta water (reserved)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated parmesan (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions; reserve 50ml pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat; sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in Turkish red pepper paste, paprika, chili flakes, black pepper, and salt; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the pan, tossing to coat with the sauce.
  6. Mix Greek yogurt with a bit of reserved pasta water to loosen it, then stir it into the pasta off the heat.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and optional grated parmesan.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a mild or spicy red pepper paste depending on your heat preference.
  • Reserve more pasta water if you want a creamier consistency.
  • Swap Greek yogurt for a plant-based yogurt for a vegan version.
