Description

Ingredients

  • 24 whole almonds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and almond extract; mix until combined.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until a soft dough forms.
  6. Roll tablespoon-sized portions into balls and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Flatten slightly and press a whole almond into each center.
  8. Bake 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden.
  9. Cool on the sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
