- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness using a meat mallet.
- Rub both sides of chicken breasts with olive oil.
- In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat well.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
- Place coated chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for an additional 7–10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked perfectly.
- Try adding herbs like thyme or oregano to the breadcrumb mix for added flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer.
