Ingredients
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced into sticks
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss carrot sticks with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and honey/maple syrup if using.
- Place the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- Check for tenderness and caramelization. Add extra time if needed.
- Transfer to a plate, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use baby carrots for convenience, adjusting cook time slightly.
- Try different seasonings like cumin or smoked paprika for variety.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the air fryer.
