Description

These Air Fryer Candied Pecans are a quick, sweet, and crunchy snack made with a blend of sugar and warm spices. Perfect for gifting, snacking, or adding to salads.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until frothy.
  2. Add the pecans to the bowl and stir until fully coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Pour the sugar mixture over the pecans and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray if desired.
  7. Place the coated pecans in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to prevent burning.
  9. Remove and let cool completely; the pecans will crisp up as they cool.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
  • Adjust spices to taste – you can add a pinch of cayenne for heat.
  • Ensure pecans are in a single layer for even cooking.
