Description
A quick and elegant appetizer featuring creamy burrata cheese warmed in an air fryer until just soft, served with olive oil, fresh herbs, and crusty bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 balls burrata (each about 4 oz)
- 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or oregano)
- Loaf of crusty bread, sliced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: balsamic glaze, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes.
- Brush the burrata balls lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with lemon zest, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place burrata balls in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch.
- Air fry for 3–5 minutes, or until the burrata exterior is warm and slightly softened but not melted or leaking excessively.
- While burrata warms, toast bread slices in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes until golden.
- Remove burrata and bread, transfer burrata to a serving plate, drizzle with additional olive oil or balsamic glaze if desired.
- Serve immediately with toasted bread and garnish with extra herbs.
Notes
- Check after 3 minutes to avoid over-softening the burrata.
- Use burrata at room temperature for even warming.
- Fresh herbs like basil or oregano work well for variation.
- For extra flavor, rub toasted bread with a garlic clove before serving.
